Lucius II is game made and published by Shiver Games. In it you play as the Devils son- Lucius. The story picks up right after the first one left off. After completing the first games goal, which is to kill your biological parents and framing them (more specifically your dad) for all of the murders done in the house, which you succeed in. Then the detective that investigates the case, takes you to a hospital for psychological evaluation... for apparently 6 months. During which the Devil appears to the detective to tell him that its his duty to help you achieve some sort of prophesy (which i thing is the end of the world), by telling him that its also God plan somehow, i think. Also daddy takes away your powers from the previous game to "Level the playing field". That‘s the opening in a nutshell. The story in my opinion is good. A bit unnecessarily detailed but enjoyably cheesy.

The main negative that the game has is that its has a ambition that it does not fulfill. To explain it shortly, mechanically its in the middle of being of bare bones and skinless. As i written above, you control the devils son, walking about a hospital and later a street, raking up a body count and avoiding detection. It goes for a very hitman like play style where you need to sabotage the environment (or poison a box of donuts) to get your kills. You can pick up, holster, combine, throw, spill etc. items, all telepathically for some reason, i guess the devils son does not want to get his hands dirty. Also with every objective and kill done you get experience to get a level up to gain special abilities like starting fires with you mind and mind control . And for all its flaw, some of the deaths you can inflict are pretty shocking and gruesome. As some the themes. But again its technical issues are way to big of a problems. One of the main problems are the HUD elements. Every interactable object has a sort of transparent text box that give you info about the object, the problem is that not only does nearly every object (even characters) has it, but also iit moves with the character, which can cloud up your screen to the point of annoyance. Not only that but the camera shakes all over the place, the whole stealth/ detection mechanic is busted, there are stuff like giant life lines and the 666 symbols that can be collected but break immersion and are just silly. Other bugs include random crashes, clipping, inconsistent fatalities, and even item vanishings.

I guess as far as music and sound design- its good.Voice acting is a bit cheesy, but passable. As far as the music, its forgettable.

Graphics wise, it passable. Some parts of it look good, other look way to low textured. Honestly not worse but far from the best.

The most hard part of reviewing this game is that it is different for every machine. Even though my specs cover the minimum requirements, i still have technical issiues, but looking up a little more online about the game i find that people with more powerful (probably) machines dont have some of these problems. Not only that but different players report different bugs that even i did not get, which means that this all leads to my previous point, the game is just to ambitious, but it came out a bit too unbacked. In the end would i recommend this game. Only if you have morbid curiosity (or have fun playing busted games for laughs and/or to entertain), a good enough machine and 20 bucks to waist i would say,- "I guess". But for everyone else, save your time and money find something better.
