Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes
- Throwback to classic platforming games with a sprinkle of creativity, nostalgia and Dinsey / Marvel mixed in. It's very easy to fall into "Just one more toy" but as a game, it's solid, fun, addictive and awesome!

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty!
- This is a great excuse to bring on my favourite games of all time into the list; With better visuals and slight tweaks to bring it to the now-a-days gamer, it ranks even higher than the original in my book. It looks great, it plays great and has a story that is just batshit (batpoop?) crazy!

Trials Fusion
- It starts off easy and slowly ramps up the difficulty; Just gradually enough to think "I can do this!" and before you realise it, you've played the same level for around 20-30 times just to get that gold medal. It's one of those games that are hard to put down. It looks really great and is, in my opinion, one of the best "Say you'll play for 5 minutes and the next thing you know it's been 5 hours" games I've played for a long time!

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft
- Think a card game that's really balanced well, that's easy to play but difficult to master. With pretty visuals and great gameplay - It's easy to see why quite a lot of people have this in their GOTY lists. It's quite simply an excellent game and deserves all the recognition it gets!

Murdered: Soul Suspect
- I don't know how I ended up with this in my Steam library but never-the-less it's a great game. The story is something you'd find in a hit TV show and the ability to play as a cat and meow for hours on end easily makes this one of my Game of the Year choices! Great game and well worth giving a go! Definitely one of 2014's best games!

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes
- A lot of people whine about paying for a demo but it's far from a demo. It it our first real look into the FOX Engine with some great story to help lay the foundations for Phantom Pain. Did I also mention the fact that Jack Bauer now plays Big Boss? The best visuals I've seen to date along with plenty of things to do in the game world, such as rescuing the mastermind Hideo Kojima - I don't know why people complain about length: You can re-do the missions a hundred times over and have a different experience every time. Think Metal Gear Solid at the best it's ever been.

The Talos Principle
- Even though I'm yet to play the final game, the teaser for it in the shape of Talos Principle - Public Test was enough to sell me on this game as one of my GOTY choices. I know this sounds coy, but I really don't want to spoil anything, Just play the darn thing and you'll see why it sits so highly with me! Think Portal meets The Legend of Zelda! Can't wait to get my hands on the other 116 puzzles!

Back to Bed
- Great visuals, addictive gameplay and a major Twin Peaks vibe, it's definitely an underrated gem. It gives you a very odd sensation while playing, like something doesn't seem quite right, but you're not quite sure what and before you know it - The sun has turned into an all-gazing eye, you're putting apples down to guide bob to bed while avoiding alarm clocks and you're walking on the wall. As I said it's got a major Twin Peaks vibe (Even down to the backwards talking audio) and was a blast to play! Another of 2014's great games!

Steins;Gate
Even though this has been out for some time, it's taken a while to get it officially in English territories. I don't want to spoil this one - But the gameplay isn't for everyone. As it is a visual novel, a lot of people might be bored quickly. But give it a go - The story is definitely worth it. Possibly one of the best stories of all time, not only in game but in all of media. Yes, I'm being deadly serious. So what are you waiting for? I'm sure you must have heard some buzz about Steins;Gate from somewhere; So either pick up the game and play it or watch the Anime. It's definitely worth your time for the story alone and now it's officially in English territories, I can finally put this in my GOTY as one of the best games, not just of this year but of all time.

Mini Metro
- This game is beautiful. It's also one of the only games that can be said is beautiful when most of the screen is always white (Seriously, I think 80% of the screen is white at all times). You draw lines that represent train tracks and before you know it, Triangles, Circles, Squares and a whole host of other shapes will be using your train line to get to their destination. But where does it stop? Suddenly, more train stops open up, you have more lines to use and many, many more passengers. It's a perfect game that is literally impossible to put down and the developers deserve every penny for their hard-work and love that's gone into bringing this game to life. I'm not a huge fan of train games and... well, this technically isn't a train game - It's a draw a line to shapes and try not to mess up. It's so addictive that you'll eventually forget what time is. I can't put this down and it wholeheartedly deserves the #1 spot in my 2014 GOTY list.
