Here we are again and what we have here is a nice, relaxing 3D Mini Golf game on the PC. Now I love a good golf game, but I can't remember the last time I managed to get any holes in on a good game. Mini golf games are normally fun; well, I enjoyed one on the 3DS a year or so ago. Now this game was developed by a team that I had no idea about Z-Software GmbH and after playing this game, I don't think I'll be hearing much from them in the near future.

Mini Golf can be a fun little time killer but this game seems to of been designed in the mid 90's when everything had the 3D at the start or end of a title. The game plays badly. You have to use the keyboard to control the aim for the shots and you can either press down on the down button or you can click on the ball with the mouse and slowly pull back to increase the power for the shot. Then you press the button again, or the space bar, to finish the shot.

This next part will in no way bring me any joy but the physics engine, again, seems to have been pulled right from the original PlayStation era as the ball has little, if any, real world physics and just bounces unrealistically around the course of each hole. Now, let’s talk about the cutting edge graphics that this game has, well if it was coming out for a GBA or PSone. The worlds lack detail and all the background shrubs are just 2D sprites with some of the lowest polygon counts to make the rest of the game. The holes themselves look like someone has drawn around a 50p piece!

Also, I must make special mention of the music: I can't believe how bad it is. I mean I get music for the podcast and you can either get licence free or even get someone to write an original piece and I'm sure this extra £100 spent would not make your ears bleed. The sound F/X again are almost laughable and the developer seems to have gotten hold of a BBC sound F/X record from the 70's.

So let’s recap: the game plays badly, looks bad and sounds bad. There are little problems that I had with the UI as well. Simple things like when you are loading the next hole to play, a button pops up on screen to say continue and I have no problem with this as if you leave it, the game shows a slow pan of the hole you are about to play. But the problem is you press this and it then has another button that pops up that says who is next up to play. And again in theory I don't have a problem with this but when you press the button to continue to the hole the button to press is a few cementers higher so you really have to keep an eye on what you are doing as you press the button then a few seconds later you have to move the mouse up then press again.

I think I've said all I need to say about this game apart from one little thing. I thought this was a really simple iOS port or mobile at the very least so was expecting a price to match this for about £1-3 maximum but I went and had a look at the steam page and £10.99 was the price. Now price should not affect a review score but if the game is £1 then you can put it down as a lazy cash in but if this game is £10.99 then WOW the developer and publisher are just delusional as this is the most overpriced game I've seen in years!
